The Self Learning Camp (SLC) serves as an effective platform for promoting independent learning and personal growth among students. It encourages learners to take responsibility for their own learning by developing skills such as self-discipline, time management, and critical thinking. Through structured yet flexible activities, the SLC enhances problem-solving abilities and nurtures curiosity beyond the classroom. Additionally, it supports holistic development by building confidence, adaptability, and a positive learning attitude, thereby contributing to improved academic engagement and lifelong learning skills.
The Self-Learning Camp (SLC) presentation for parents by Class XI students was a vibrant event that showcased the learning outcomes and creativity of the students over the five-day camp. The event successfully combined information, engagement, and fun, leaving parents both impressed and involved. The students prepared meticulously for the event. Morning energizers with parents were the highlight of the event. Parents showed enthusiastic participation along with the student. After the morning energizers, the students divided themselves according to the camp teams and escorted the parents to the venues for their presentations.

In the presentation, the students shared their personal experiences from the camp, bringing the event to life with their vivid descriptions of efforts to maintain hygiene and cleanliness at the camp, fostering a sense of responsibility. Activities like jumaring, rock climbing, night walking, and exploring waterfalls challenged their physical endurance and teamwork. Setting up tents and experiencing a night under the stars strengthened their camaraderie and independence. The talent show was a creative step to give opportunities to the students showcase their talents and enjoy the warmth of the campfire. Students shared how the camp had a profound impact on their perspectives, emphasizing teamwork, leadership, and resilience.
A detailed PowerPoint presentation was delivered by the students. The presentation provided a comprehensive day-by-day overview of all activities, highlighting key moments and offering a glimpse into the camp’s vibrant spirit. The presentation was divided according to the days, with each section highlighting the activities of that particular day. Each group made a video comprising all the pictures of their camp, allowing the parents to have a glimpse into their experiences. The video rekindled memories of the five-day camp, capturing key moments and the vibrant spirit of the participants. Both parents and students thoroughly enjoyed the presentation, which served as a fitting end to a successful camp.

After that, students and parents gathered around on the basketball court once again to play different games that were pre-planned by the students. They were divided into three teams, each demonstrating a series of activities they had practiced during the camp. They successfully planned and executed three games, A to B, where the group made a circle holding each other's hands and had to pass through their own group to flip the circle outward. Secondly, the reflex game, which was mainly to test their reflexes, and lastly, the reverse rock-paper- scissors. The games created a ground to bond and interact with each other.
The event concluded with parents sharing their feedback and experiences. The parents and students were taken to the multi-purpose hall for an interactive session where the parents shared their views and experiences. They highlighted how the camp brought a behavioural shift in their children, and they also suggested the inclusion of the camp in the 9th standard. Parents commended the students' efforts, their confidence in presenting, and the overall organization of the programme. The Self-Learning Camp presentation was a grand success, highlighting the importance of experiential learning and celebrating the students’ achievements in a meaningful and memorable way.
