My Artful Teacher

Led by Ms. Sanjna Kapoor, renowned for her passionate contributions to theatre and her pivotal role in transforming Prithvi Theatre into one of India’s premier cultural hubs (1990–2011), this transformative programme has been reshaping education at DPS Coimbatore since April 2024.

The primary teachers are participating in an intensive three-year journey designed to cultivate curiosity, imagination, and creativity through artful practices. This initiative shifts the focus from external subject matter to the internal processes of thinking, meaning-making, and envisioning possibilities.

The programme is both rigorous and demanding, requiring teachers to engage deeply with individual and group assignments, as well as classroom interventions. Through this immersive experience, teachers have discovered their "artful teacher-self," enabling them to bring renewed joy and inspiration into their classrooms.

This transformative journey has not only unlocked each teacher’s fullest potential but has also fostered a vibrant culture of peer collaboration within the school. The ripple effects of this growth are evident in the enriched learning experiences of every child.
